Devon Hills Couple On Decking Standing

What happens when

You want to sell?

Feeling like...

It's time to move on?

If your much-loved holiday home is gathering more dust than memories, it might be time for a change. Maybe life’s taken a new turn, your priorities have shifted, or you’re just not visiting as often as you used to. Or perhaps you’re a curious new buyer who likes to know the full picture before diving in. Either way, getting to grips with how resales work puts you in control, and we’re here to make the process smooth, straightforward, and as stress-free as possible.

It all starts...

With a chat on park

The best place to begin? Pop in and speak to the sales team on your park. They know the ins and outs of selling holiday homes and will walk you through everything, from pricing and paperwork to helpful tips that make all the difference. There may already be buyers lined up, keen to join your holiday park community, which means we might be able to find someone quickly, saving you time and effort.

In some cases, we can even offer a commission-free buyback at an agreed price, cutting out the need to find a buyer altogether. It’s not available on every park and depends on the age, condition and pitch of your holiday home, but it’s always worth asking.

It's totally fine

Prefer to sell it yourself?

That’s totally fine too. If you’d rather go the independent route, you’re welcome to list your holiday home for sale privately. There are plenty of online platforms that specialise in holiday home resales in the UK.

Just a few things to keep in mind:

  • Your buyer will still need approval from the park team.
  • A licence transfer fee will apply (up to 15% commission + VAT), which is paid to Haulfryn.
  • We’ll also need to check if the buyer is happy with, and accepted for, the remaining pitch licence.

If your buyer plans to remove the holiday home from the park (like in a trade sale), they’ll forgo the licence and you won’t need to pay the transfer fee, but either you or the buyer will need to cover the cost of transport and removal.

You need to know...

What's my holiday home worth?

Our team is here to guide you through setting a fair, competitive price for your holiday home. We’ll look at similar homes for sale both on the park and in the local area, and take into account things like the age and condition of your home, what else is currently on the market, and how sought-after your pitch or view might be. We also factor in the transfer fee, which we usually include within the asking price, so everything’s clear from the start. Once the price is agreed and the sale goes through, Haulfryn will retain the transfer fee plus VAT, and you’ll receive the remaining balance.

Selling through Haulfryn?

Here's what happens

If you'd prefer a helping hand, we're happy to manage the process for you. Our park teams will handle everything from promoting your holiday home to arranging viewings with interested buyers.

We'll be there to support price discussions, take care of the paperwork, and guide both you and the buyer through each step, making sure everything is clear and handled with care.

Once a sale is agreed and the buyer is approved, the full amount (including the transfer fee) is paid to Haulfryn. We’ll host a handover meeting, finalise the details, and then transfer your remaining balance to your bank account within 14 days.
