Tal y Fan holiday park is named after the northernmost mountain in Conway, Wales and with Snowdonia’s majestic mountain ranges as your backdrop and the Llyn Peninsula at your doorstep, you’re all set for an epic escapade. It’s a hiker’s paradise, with everything from thigh-burning challenges to peaceful strolls. Fancy a two-wheel adventure? There’s low traffic routes that will leave you breathless (in a good way) and family-friendly trails that even the little ones will love. Snowdonia isn’t just a pretty face, it’s also the action-packed heart of Wales! You name it, you can try it here. From scrambling up cliffs to coasteering along the water’s edge, and even mastering your equestrian skills. And of course on the Llyn Peninsula we’ve got the coast with the absolute most! Sprinkled with pretty villages, sights of historic and cultural significance and stuffed full of the most delicious and proud produce of Wales.
Llanbedrog
Tal y Fan is crouched between the harbour town of Abersoch and the small village of Llanbedrog. Llanbedrog is a hidden gem, tucked away on the South side of the Llyn peninsula just 4 miles from Pwhelli and it is a mere 3 miles from Llanbedrog to Aberoch, which makes for a pleasant seaside walk. At Llanbedrog you will find a handful of shops, pubs and restaurants and a stunner of a beach. If you are looking for things to do in Llanbedrog consider a visit to the grand old mansion of Plas Glyn y Weddw, built in 1857. Spend a day lost in the woodlands, gaze in awe at the art gallery, and munch away in the cafe. And for the grand finale, a summer show at the open-air theatre could be just the ticket!
Llanbedrog beach
Llanbedrog beach is a beautifully sheltered spot on the Llyn Peninsula, with calm waters which are irresistible for swimmers, paddlers and pooches! It’s a mile-long, sandy smile, and decked out with the brightest beach huts, offering stunning vistas across Cardigan Bay. Thanks to the National Trust’s care, it’s as pristine as can be and there’s a handy car park just across from Plas Glyn y Weddw. Feeling peckish but forgot to pack a picnic? Give the Llanbedrog Aqua Beach Bar a whirl. They serve up tasty treats that won’t burn a hole in your pocket, paired with a refreshing glass of wine and all with a side of breathtaking views. Plus, on weekends they turn up the holiday heat with tapas nights that’ll have you feeling like you’re chilling on the Mediterranean coast!
