We hope that you all had a lovely start to 2022! As we look ahead to the gorgeous weather and summer holidays, we wanted to keep you up to date with everything happening at our Devon & Cornwall holiday parks.
Our sister park, Finlake Resort & Spa recently acquired a fantastic vintage food van that will be visiting Holmans Wood every Thursday and Friday evening between 14th April and 2nd September. This will be the first time that Holmans Wood has been able to offer our holiday home owners and holidaymakers the option to purchase and enjoy food on-site on a regular basis. We hope that you all enjoy the menu and welcome any feedback you might have.
We are really excited to announce that we will be hosting regular bird of prey displays at Holmans Wood throughout the summer.
The display will include information and commentary from the Dartmoor Hawking display team as well as opportunities for some audience participation. As ever with any outdoor events, these will be weather dependent and we will always endeavour to give as much notice as possible, should a show need to be cancelled.
On Saturday 30th April we would like to invite you to join the team for some light refreshments at the main reception between 10:00 and 12:00. This informal event is a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have or to simply come along for a chat and to meet other owners – We look forward to seeing you there.
Whilst the bad weather may have set us back slightly, we are delighted to confirm that we are back on track and continuing to make good progress on the new development – thank you all for your continued patience and understanding. We hope that you agree that Yarrow Fields, Clover View and the extended area of Orchid Meadow will be truly stunning when complete. We are going to be holding our first owners’ event of the year – a day at the races. We will be taking owners to Newton Abbot races on May 11th, please email info@devon-hill.co.uk to secure your place as we have limited tickets available.
Owner coffee morning – Don’t forget we host owner coffee mornings at The Blagdon Inn, every second Saturday every month at 10:00 – we hope to see you there for a catch up and even a piece or two of cake!
As you are all aware we have a new development well underway, and we are delighted to be able to share with you the final visuals of how Blagdon Way will look once finished – we may be a little biased, but we think its stunning! Thank you all for your patience once again whilst these works have been taking place, we know that not everything has gone to plan but we are hopeful that it will be smooth sailing until works are completed. Should you be interested in part exchanging or purchasing one of our beautiful new holiday homes, please speak with Dan in our sales team.
As some of you are aware we have had issues with lighting on park, our maintenance team have started to replace posts and lighting, so we are able to reinstate all the lighting across the park this project is estimated to finish within the next four weeks.
On Saturday 7th May, we will begin hosting monthly coffee mornings for all our holiday homeowners. Join us between 10:30 and 12:00 in the owner’s lounge to socialise with fellow owners and speak with the team about any queries you may have. These coffee mornings will take place on the first Saturday of each month, so please do come along when you can, it will be great to see you all.
After a difficult two years, we are delighted to be able to host events in the park again. We hope that you can all attend some if not all of the below. More information will follow nearer the time of each event, but please see the dates below for your diaries!
Thank you for your patience over the past couple of months, unfortunately our supply chain issues have caused delays to many of our projects across the group. This equipment required to complete the upgrades is slowly starting to come through, and we expect to be able to continue with the project after Easter. We will contact you all to let you know when we will require access to your holiday home to carry out the installation of this equipment. Please be assured that the current system will remain in place until the new system has passed all testing and is ready to be rolled out across the park.
If you have any problems logging in when you return to park, please do call the Infinium service desk on 01253 501655 where a member of the team will support you. If you have any questions with regards to the new service, please do feel free to contact Ben who can support your queries.
Our Development on the touring area is now heading towards completion and we are expecting our contractors to be off site by the end of April. We will then be undertaking some landscaping work and starting to site some lodges on selected pitches. Once we have our first lodge ready to view, we would love to invite you all to have a look and let us know any feedback you may have.

At Holmans Wood we have installed some large planters around the park ready for the spring, as well as spreading wildflower seeds around the meadow. The pond is also a focus area for us as we plan on planting a new willow tree, as part of the Queens green canopy initiative in celebration of her majesty’s platinum jubilee. Our woodland walks recently received some much-needed attention, and we plan to continue to make improvements and additions in this area moving forward
Over at Devon Hills we have made and installed more new bird and bug boxes around park, all in the hope that we can help our animal friends nest in a safe and appropriate environment. We have also recently planted the makings of a herb garden on Blagdon Way – we very much look forward to sharing its progress with you soon.
At Dartmoor View, the next few weeks will see our Spring work completed with the introduction of a new pathway through the woods in Tor View and the installation of a new bug hotel in this same area. We will also be working on the picnic area, and I hope you can all enjoy this as the year progresses.
