Praa Sands Holiday Park
A Praa Sands holiday means you are close to many of the best attractions Cornwall has to offer

There is a lot to love about Cornwall! It is one of the sunniest counties in the UK and has a balmy average summer temperature of 21C. The stunning county boasts over 300 beaches and is home to some of the most lip-smacking holiday treats from pasties to fudge, clotted cream to fish and chips. Our slice of Cornwall is extra special, boasting a mile of sandy canvas for you to paint your holiday on, and an array of day trips that will make your camera roll overflow! Embark on a cliff-top adventure at rugged Land’s End, get carried away by a show under the stars at the iconic Minack theatre, wander aimlessly around Cadgwith Cove’s thatched-roof charm, or have a brush with the art scene at the Tate in St. Ives. With so much on offer, there’s no chance of the boredom bug biting here.

Praa Sands Beach

If all you want from your day is a spot on the sand and a dip in the sea, you will not need to venture far. Head towards that beautiful horizon that keeps winking at you from your holiday home and you’ll find yourself on the golden, sun-kissed shores of Praa Beach. Cushioned by dunes, this beloved beach has lifeguards ready for action, so you can confidently make a splash. Fancy riding the waves? Whether you’re keen on nailing that standing pop-up or content with old-school belly boarding, Praa Sands has some gnarly surfing waves to become your training ground. Your furry friends are invited too! Just remember, they have a summer curfew and can’t scamper on our sands in July and August, but fear not, there’s a huge choice of other dog-friendly spots around.

Praa Sands restaurants/pub/places to eat

After riding the waves all day, you might be famished! Bordering the sands of Praa Beach, you’ll find a bustling hub of cafes and restaurants. Each one, boasting breathtaking sea views and a chill, beachy atmosphere. Whether you’re hankering for a juicy post-surf burger or craving a chilled pint of Rattler to whet your whistle, you’ll find plenty of choice here.

Prussia Cove

Strike out on a trek along the coast path towards Penzance, where the alluring Prussia Cove awaits. A romantic little spot that once housed an infamous family of smugglers. You can almost picture their daring escapades while lounging on the rocks and investigating the crumbled remains of old fishing huts. The sheltered waters of the cove becomes your window to the underwater world, making it an ideal spot for a snorkelling session. And guess what? This treasure is just a one-hour panoramic view-filled walk away!

Porthleven

Get ready for some fun in Porthleven, the southernmost port in Britain! This charming harbour town is bursting with award-winning chefs cooking up a storm in fabulous eateries, artsy craft shops for the creative souls, and pubs oozing with personality. The journey from Praa Sands to Porthleven is a 5-mile traipse along the dramatic coastline with old engine houses whispering tales of Cornwall’s mining past. For all you foodies a great time to visit Porthleven is during the Porthleven Food Festival. An annual event packed with cooking demos, live music, and a buffet of international cuisines waiting to be devoured.

St. Michaels Mount

The iconic destination of St. Michaels Mount is just a 10 minute car journey from your holiday home. You’ll definitely want to hop across and explore the legendary castle atop the craggy tidal island for yourself. But it is a sight that never gets old and makes the perfect backdrop to a delicious lunch in Marazion. As it’s so close to your holiday home you can zip over there any time and gaze across the water at this striking landmark.
