Everyone loves a day on the beach and there’s no beach quite as beautiful as the one here at The Warren.  You can launch your boat, take to your paddleboard, go for a swim or just paddle on the shore, we want everyone to enjoy this fantastic coast and to do so safely.  Here are some things for everyone to consider as they pack their sunscreen and head out for a day on the sand;

• Inflatables – these flamingos and giant cupcakes were never intended for use on open water, even on a calm day it doesn’t take long to find yourself a long way from shore with no means of getting back. Never let children use inflatables unsupervised and always stay at shoreline.
• Vehicles – Tractors and other towing vehicles are a common sight on the beach here, launching boats and jet skis throughout the day.  Take extra care when coming on and off the beach, even at slow speed these heavy vehicles will take longer to come to a stop than you might think.  Take note of the launching zone area (map at entrance) and try to spend your time on the beach outside of this area.
• Lifeguards – Please note there are NO lifeguards on duty here, we have beach wardens, and the coast guard will patrol occasionally but there are no trained lifeguards, if you spot someone in trouble call 999 and ask for the Coastguard before then looking for help on the beach.
• Visibility in the water – If you’re a strong swimmer and intend on venturing into the open water try to make yourself as visible as possible, a bright swim hat or a tow float such as those available from SwimSecure.
